Where can I sail in Mallorca?

Sailing holidays in MajorcaStart your yacht charter in Palma de Mallorca, the capital, a picturesque city on the south coast with cobbled streets, quiet courtyards and an impressive harbour front overlooked by the magnificent 14th century Le Seu cathedral.

With over 200 miles of stunning coastline, Mallorca is a great choice for a bareboat yacht charter.

Families and less experienced crews can enjoy a relaxed sailing holiday visiting the many sheltered bays on the east coast with white sandy beaches and safe swimming areas.

If you are a keen sailor, plan your yacht charter holiday to sail right around the island of Mallorca. Visit the busy fishing harbours of Andraitx, Soller and Pollensa and get away from it all with a night on anchor at the Cabrera Island Nature Reserve. The large bays of Alcudia and Pollensa on the north of the island provide safe anchorages and pretty harbours.

On a 2-week yacht charter, you could explore the coast of Majorca and sail to Ibiza and Formentera, 45 miles to the south, or to Menorca, 27 miles to the north-east, with its busy harbours and quiet anchorages.

Conditions for sailing holidays in Majorca are excellent, although the passages between the Balearic islands can be more exposed. Marinas can be pricey - expect to pay £40-80 per night depending on location and size of yacht - but you can also anchor in the protected bays.
